| COLLECTIONS
Since its founding in 1979, the Museum of Costume and Textile of Québec has acquired more than 6,000 objects, most of which date from the 19th and 20th centuries.
The museum’s holdings consist primarily of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, accessories, utilitarian and ornamental textile art, and modern artworks.
The majority of the objects in the museum’s collection are from Quebec. In the past few years, however, the MCTQ has branched out by acquiring traditional and modern garments and other items from around the world.
